Rooted in Ellijay Since 1990
Safe Choice Pregnancy Care Center was founded by Fred & Sharon Bailey at a time when Gilmer County led the state of Georgia in unplanned teenage pregnancy. Their vision — a place where anyone facing that situation would find help, not judgment — has guided us for 36 years.
Today we are a community-based resource center, affiliated with Care Net, dedicated to providing free spiritual and material support to women and families in planned or unplanned pregnancy. What makes us different? Long-lasting relationships — we walk with families for years, not visits.

Earn While You Learn
Take free classes on pregnancy, parenting, budgeting, and life skills — and earn Baby Bucks to shop for everything your baby needs in our Baby Boutique: maternity and baby clothes, blankets, diapers, formula, toys, and more. We may even have cribs, strollers, and baby furniture available.
Classes take about an hour, include your Boutique visit, and everyone is welcome — moms, dads, grandparents, or a friend you bring along. Online classes are available too.

A place of remembrance and healing for families who have lost a child through miscarriage, abortion, or natural death. Here, loved ones can honor little lives with name plates, creating a lasting tribute and a step toward healing.
Open to anyone seeking comfort — our team walks alongside you with compassion, prayer, and resources, so every life, no matter how brief, is honored and remembered.

Common Questions
What will it cost me?
Nothing. Every service — pregnancy tests, classes, mentoring, and Baby Boutique items — is completely free. All you give is your time.
Is Earn While You Learn only for pregnant women?
No — it’s for anyone. Male or female, young or old, pregnant or already parenting, single, spouses, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. You can even bring a friend along!
How long does a class take?
About an hour — and it includes visiting the Baby Boutique to spend your Baby Bucks.
Do I need an appointment?
It’s good to call or text ahead, but if you can’t, walk-ins are always welcome.
